today was the first day of school. it was also the first truly cold day of winter, so that was fitting.
 
pro tip: step up your sock game. it keeps your toes warm AND you can treat it as an accessory to bring out a color in your outfit, color block, mix prints, really whatever tickles your pickle.

as meryl streep would say, "forals...for spring? groundbreaking." so i only put in a pop of floral in the shoes. as for the rest of the outfit, i wanted to keep with gem tones, cause apparently that's a trend? i don't understand the whole "color trend" thing that tends to go on. i'm pretty much a walking rainbow, so i just kinda do whatever in terms of color.
 
also, i think bird prints are the new floral, so i wouldn't be surprised if they pop up everywhere, portlandia style.

i'm probably the least sexy person i know, but if i ever went on a hot date, this is what i would wear.

i LOVE the silhouette of this dress. it would make me feel like i'm floating around all day. and even though i don't really ever put heels in my sets, i felt like a dress this pretty could really only go with a pair.

i love the art on tycho's ablum "dive". it's kinda trippy, and i feel like his music feels glimmery, kinda like a sunrise.
 
do cobalt and maroon match? in my world they do. also, why does this t-shirt have to cost so much? i'm not really one to wear t-shirts, but if i had to choose one, this isabel marant one would be it.
